Day 01
Welcome to Antigua
Arrive at La Aurora International Airport and transfer to Antigua Guatemala. Settle into your hotel and prepare for the days ahead.

Day 02
Antigua on foot and by bicycle
Explore La Merced, the main square and the Cathedral. After time for shopping and lunch, take a half-day mountain-bike excursion through Antigua’s surroundings, including Ciudad Vieja.

Day 03
Begin your Acatenango adventure
Travel to the trailhead for a briefing with your guides. Begin the ascent, pause for lunch and continue to camp. Enjoy the mountain setting and the planned sunset excursion, subject to conditions, before dinner.

Day 04
Sunrise above the highlands
Begin an early ascent for sunrise, subject to conditions and your guide’s assessment. Have breakfast, pack up camp and descend before returning to Antigua.

Day 05
Market colors and lake views
Travel to Chichicastenango to explore its traditional market and Santo Tomás Church. Continue to Lake Atitlán, surrounded by volcanic peaks, and enjoy a panoramic introduction to Panajachel.

Day 06
The traditions of San Juan La Laguna
Cross the lake by boat to San Juan La Laguna. Visit its Catholic church, discover chocolate-making at a local cooperative, learn about natural textile dyes and meet artisans working with medicinal plants. Return to Panajachel and continue to Guatemala City.

Day 07
Tikal’s temples and rainforest
Take an early flight to Flores, with a packed breakfast. Explore Tikal’s Q and R complexes, Central Acropolis, Temple I and Temple II. Visit Mundo Perdido if time allows, then enjoy lunch before transferring to your hotel.

Day 08
Candelaria’s underground landscapes
Travel from Flores toward Cobán, stopping to explore the Candelaria cave system and learn about its significance to Maya communities. Continue to Cobán.

Day 09
Discover Semuc Champey
Journey to Semuc Champey to experience its natural limestone bridge, spring-fed pools and surrounding forest. Return to Cobán after the visit.

Into the cloud forest
Visit the Quetzal Biotope near Purulhá and discover its cloud-forest environment. Continue to Guatemala City. Wildlife sightings depend on natural conditions.
